Lincoln County is easily accessible via all modes of transportation. The general aviation facility in Brookhaven will handle most company-type airplanes and small business jets. The runway is 4,300-ft long and 50-ft wide and all types of aviation fuel are available. A terminal building was completed in 1986.
  
    
The airport uses a nondirectional radio beacon and provides pilots with valuable aviation information as they approach and depart Brookhaven's airport.  International airports are located in Jackson and New Orleans.
  
There is taxi cab service in the city, and Greyhound Busline offers transportation in and out of Brookhaven on a daily basis. The terminal is open seven days a week with buses providing services north to Jackson and points beyond and south to New Orleans and points beyond.
   
Several truck lines have terminal facilities in Brookhaven and many other trucking firms operate here from terminals in other communities, such as Jackson.
  
Offering both freight and passenger service connections, the mainline Canadian National Railroad runs north and south through Brookhaven. The Amtrak (also known as the City of New Orleans train) runs southbound in the morning and northbound in the evening every day to provide direct rail transportation from Chicago and New Orleans and all points between. East-west CN Railroad connections provide direct freight rail contact from the Mississippi River at Natchez to eastern Mississippi down to Bogalusa, LA.
